How We Started
WarmPath Digital was founded in 2012 by Michael Anderson, a mechanical contractor who had spent a decade installing commercial snow-melt systems for hospitals and municipal buildings across Minnesota. After a particularly brutal winter that left his own Edina driveway unusable for six weeks, he realized there was almost no one in the residential market who understood how to install these systems properly.
Most contractors at the time were either plumbers who had never worked with outdoor surfaces, or concrete companies who had never installed a boiler. Michael started WarmPath to be the company that did both, with real engineering behind every design.
Our first year we installed eleven systems. Our second year, thirty-four. Today we have completed more than 680 residential installations across the Twin Cities and remain a locally owned, independent company. We have never franchised, never sold out to a national chain, and never subcontracted our installation work.
