What "Retrofit" Actually Means
A retrofit adds heating to a surface that already exists, without a full demolition and replacement. Instead of breaking out the entire slab or pulling up every paver, we work with what is there, install the heating elements, and rebuild only the layers above them.
This is not always possible. The existing surface has to meet specific conditions: adequate thickness, sound structure, correct drainage slope, and no major cracking or settling. If your surface fails any of those tests, a full replacement is the correct answer and we will tell you so plainly.
When retrofit is viable, it typically saves 20 to 40 percent compared to a full replacement, gets completed in half the time, and avoids the disposal cost and landscaping damage that comes with demolition.
